Sometimes it happens that our company sets up targeted advertising on Facebook and Instagram for our clients. And after the advertising campaign is set up, we offer our clients to independently pay the required monthly or weekly budget to extend the advertising.

Since some clients have some difficulties with this, we are posting a short instruction.

You need to log into your Facebook account, preferably on a PC.

Next, in the upper right corner of the page there is a small arrow, click on it and select “Manage advertising”:

We will be transferred to the personal advertising account, where again in the upper right corner we need to click on the gear:

On the next screen, on the left side of the page, click on “Payment Settings”:

The following screen will appear in front of us:

In the block marked in blue, you can monitor how much money has been spent on advertising at the moment, when and for what amount, the write-off will be. Also, by clicking on the “Pay” button, you can immediately pay the current balance, in this case the balance is our DEBT to Facebook. Following the picture, we see that I have already spent 2 cents and can pay them.

New accounts on FB have a limit of 10 dollars, this means that first, FB will show our ad for $ 10, and then try to write off this money from our card. If the write-off is successful, the advertising will continue, if there is no money in the account, it will be suspended.

Using the “Management” button at the top, this amount (threshold) can be changed.

Red Color – here we must have a card from which funds are written off. You can also add another card or PayPal. If there is no card, advertising cannot be configured. If you delete the only card, advertising will be suspended. Remember that the card we add must have online payment opened. This can most often be done in your bank’s online banking.

Green color – Spending limit.

In fact, it is a very convenient thing. For example, you have an ad set up without an end date. That is, it constantly eats up, say, 2 dollars a day. And you have 100 dollars on the card. But you do not want your ad to spend ALL 100 DOLLARS, so you set a limit, for example 30 dollars. When the limit is reached, without your participation, namely: resetting the limit to 0, the ad will no longer be shown.

In the last block, you can view the account history through receipts and contact Facebook support.
