Project Description

Optimization of Google profile of a photo studio in Poznań: rental of a photo studio as a key service

We were contacted by Cornelii, the owner of a photo studio in Poznań (Poland). The request was quite standard: to promote the photo studio point in order to increase the number of people who apply for services.

As always, we started with a standard set of tasks – registration in catalogs. But with clients from Poland it is always a little more difficult: firstly, there are fewer catalogs than in Ukraine, and secondly, there is access to services that are not available to us, and they must be used. It takes more time, but we always try to do our work as qualitatively as possible.

What we did not really like about the cooperation was the number of photos. It would seem that if we are talking about a photo studio, then clients should shower us with photos. But this did not happen. Although the studio team was active, willingly made contact and tried to explain the specifics of the business.

It turned out that for them, a photo studio is primarily a rental of premises, not the services of a photographer. This is an important nuance, because initially we focused specifically on photography, photographers, which means we were going in the wrong direction. During the optimization process, I adjusted the direction — we started placing ourselves where people talked specifically about renting a photo studio, and changed the semantics.

Statistics at the time of submission:

For the quarter of the profile’s work on Google:

  • 153 actions on the company profile (calls, directions, website visits);
  • 400 keywords by which users found the company;
  • 225 searches in total.

This is a very good result – such a number of actions with a relatively small number of searches suggests that the photos and content in the profile really worked and attracted attention.

Statistics six months after completion of the work:

  • 174 profile actions in Q1 2025;
  • 1400 searches based on 446 keywords.

This indicates positive dynamics. The number of key queries has increased significantly, but there is a nuance here: the most searches are for the word “fotograf”, not “studio fotograficzne”, that is, not quite the target audience. The second most frequent is the word “fotostudiya”, that is, the query is already closer to what a real client is looking for.

Interestingly, the largest number of actions is routing, both during our work and after.

What can be improved:

  • The company still doesn’t have a website. Because of this, the Google profile doesn’t receive additional information about the company, and the system can’t accurately determine what exactly is being promoted — the studio or the photographer.
  • Photos and news are not updated. No new posts in six months. This negatively affects activity.
  • No opening hours. Perhaps this is done intentionally, but for Google it is an important factor.

Conclusions:

We see steady growth — about 15–20% every quarter, but it is also clear that the profile is reaching a certain plateau.

As the next step for the company, I would definitely recommend creating a simple website with information about renting a photo studio, publishing texts, and regularly updating content on the Google profile.
