Business Promotion on Google Maps: Medical Center Case

Today I want to share with you what is perhaps one of the most effective cases of business promotion on Google Maps.

Our joint history with the Family Medicine Center began in 2017, when we were still in the early stages.

We still have the “old” Google app. My business then depended first on the number of reviews, then on 360° photos, then on activity on social networks. And now that the company website has the greatest influence, we are actively working on the local SEO of the clinic’s website.

This is a case where I have been trying to pass the feedback policy for years.

By the way, one of the most effective methods has become a personal request: when a person has already used a clinic’s service, they are asked to leave a review.

Unfortunately, in 2017 we did not have the habit of taking screenshots, so below are only data from the report for the second quarter of 2017:

  • 12,000 searches
  • 18% of them – by phone
  • 1,500 profile interactions
  • 340 profile actions: 140 paths, 120 calls, 80 site transitions

All this for just one quarter.

In January 2024, we carried out a reorganization: we updated all the points and optimized the headquarters. As a result, efficiency increased almost immediately: the errors accumulated over the years of independent profile management were corrected.

In the first quarter of 2025, the company began to work more actively with reviews, started indexing, and a new website appeared. They independently maintain their profile based on our recommendations.

Here are the results:

  • Search growth from 19,000 to 29,000
  • ➡ Search growth: ~52.6%
  • Number of keywords: from 7,300 to 10,800
  • Keyword growth: ~48%

I am very sorry that I did not record statistics continuously, perhaps something remained on the old computers. But the fact remains that thanks to this cooperation the company has practically monopolized the market of analysis and consulting in its city. And it is not a regional capital, but an ordinary city with a population of 100,000 people.

This case concerns systematic work, constant development, investments in the site, content and technology. For example, the site today has more than 3,700 articles, is constantly updated, promoted on social networks and carries out link building activities. And most importantly, there is an owner who constantly asks: “What else can be improved?”

This activity is an example of that. This is a basis that can be given to children. And I am not ashamed of it.
