Our team recently completed a project to promote the Autoexpo car dealership on Google Maps in Kyiv. The company’s store was very young and not at all optimized. The request also included adding/expanding the search to include the possibility of obtaining results for the keywords JAC and RAVON, in order to increase the sales volume of cars of these brands. An additional complication was that the company was located in a territory where there were other car dealers and competitors. Some of them are already our clients and are currently pursuing a more active development policy.

Input material:

  • Poor presentation level (photo and video material, lack of 360° photos)
  • The company had already been verified, but the Google My Business account was poorly completed (less than 40%)
  • Low rating of the company in the system, low frequency of receiving reviews, lack of useful posts
  • Lack of information about the company in local directories in kyiv and the region.
  • High level of competition in terms of area (the company is located among other car dealers in less than 5 km²)

Results and consequences of our work:

We have been working on adding keywords through the Google Maps interface, in the Google My Business system itself and in related directories. Keywords were added and the company, although not in the top positions, began to appear in some requested queries. An example of such a request:

The quality of photo materials for customers looking at the company on the map and for the search algorithm has been improved.

We added the company to directories that provide the “do_follow” link, which improved local SEO; this work and the number of links to the company help to attract more people more often and not only from these directories, but also to increase the importance of the company’s listing on Google Map and on the company’s own website (uaotzyv.com, 20.ua, 2gis, etc.)

Also, during the time we worked, the company search statistics increased slightly. We consider a result of 15% to be acceptable; for a young company we usually reach 30+, but here the density of companies per square kilometer is very high:

In this way, the total number of searches increased by 19.6%.

And the number of search results is 14.7%.
